Dailymotion Monetization

Once you've enabled monetization, you will automatically start earning revenue from your uploaded videos.

On Dailymotion, many videos are served with in-stream advertisements—ads that appear before, during, or after videos (learn more about ad formats). Enabling video monetization allows you to share in the revenue these advertisements generate when served on your videos.

The more views your videos get, the more revenue you earn—so make sure to share your videos. And, you can make even more by embedding your videos on your own websites. To do this, you'll need to verify your domains.

To get paid, make sure to add your banking information. Earned revenue will automatically be transferred to your PayPal account or bank account every month when your balance exceeds $100. Also, you can always track your revenue in your analytics and view your payments.

Payout schedule

With the Partner program, you can generate income from the ads displayed on your videos.

In this article, you'll be able to understand how we compute your earnings and the timeline of your payments.

Step 1 - Revenue consolidation

 Process:

• An estimation (indicated with the *) will be displayed on your Earnings page until the consolidation of your revenues
• The revenues are consolidated up to 60 days after the end of the current month.
• Your revenues are consolidated when the * is no longer displayed on your interface. 

Step 2 - Invoice creation

Requirements:

• Reach $100 when your revenues will be consolidated
• Fill your bank information and accept the auto-invoicing

Process:

• If the requirements have been reached, Dailymotion will start the invoice creation
• This invoice will be created up to 15 days after the consolidation
• Once the invoice is created, you'll be able to find it on your Earnings page.

Step 3 - Payout 

Process:

• Once the invoice has been created, Dailymotion will start the payout process through its different partners (Payoneer or PayPal, depending on the information filled on your account)

  
  
• The payout will be sent 30 days after the last day of the invoice creation month.

 Example:

Here is an example of a payment schedule for January:

• (1) - An estimation (indicated with the *) will be displayed on your Earnings page, and a consolidated version of your earnings will be available before March 31th (60 days)
  
  
• (2) -  An invoice will be available on your account before April 15th (15 days)
  
  
• (3) - The invoice will be paid within 30 days of the end of the month after the invoice. You should receive your payment before May 31st. (45 days)

Earn revenue from a website

Once you've enabled monetization, you can earn revenue from website monetization in two ways:

1. Embed the Dailymotion widget that automatically displays recommended videos
2. Embed individual Dailymotion videos on your verified sites
• To start embedding individual videos, you'll need to verify your sites. 
  
  

On Dailymotion, many videos are served with in-stream advertisements—ads that appear before, during, or after videos (learn more about ad formats). Website monetization gives everyone the opportunity to share in the revenue these advertisements generate. Simply embed Dailymotion videos or the Dailymotion Widget on one of your sites, and earn revenue every time someone views an ad served on these videos.

To get paid, make sure to add your banking information. Earned revenue will automatically be transferred to your PayPal account or bank account every month when your balance exceeds $100. Also, you can always track your revenue via analytics and view your payments.

Ad formats

When your video plays, your audience will also see in-stream advertisements that are served within the Dailymotion video player.

Advertisements are always labeled or closable. We are committed to creating an efficient and transparent advertising ecosystem for content creators, advertisers, and users.

We serve 3 main types of in-stream ads:

• Pre-Roll: A video advertisement that plays before your video starts.
  
  
• Mid-Roll: A video advertisement that plays in the middle of your video. Your video will pause, the ad will play, and then your video will resume. Mid-Rolls are usually only served with videos that exceed 5 minutes in length.
  
  
• Post-Roll: A video advertisement that plays after your video is over.

Note: It is currently not possible to choose which advertisements appear with videos. However, we regularly monitor and update our algorithms in order to serve relevant ads on your videos.

Add and manage payout methods

In order to get paid, you must set up automatic payouts by adding a payout method to your Dailymotion account.

Follow the steps below to add your banking info.

1. From Partner HQ, select Earnings from the navigation menu. 
   
   
2. Select Payout methods from the sub-navigation menu that appears.
   
   
3. Fill out the form with your information.
1. Fields include account type (individual or business), name, and address.
   
   
4. Select one of the three secure payout methods: Bank transfer, PayPal, prepaid debit MasterCard®.

5. Select the Next button.
   
   
6. Follow the below instructions to set up your selected payout method:

To automatically receive revenue payouts, you must add a payout method to your Dailymotion account, and reach the $100 threshold.

Once those requirements are reached, the payout process will begin. You can have more information on the payout schedule here.

You can either get paid via bank transfer, PayPal, or a prepaid debit MasterCard. Learn more about each method below

Bank Transfer (powered by Payoneer)

Bank transfer lets you quickly, easily and safely receive money directly to your bank account.

Details:

• Revenue is transferred directly to your local bank account
• Payment is in your local currency
• Funds are available within 1–3 business days
• Safe, secure, and backed by industry-leading security standards
• Available for individuals and businesses

You can connect your existing Payoneer account by selecting Prepaid debit card and clicking on the “Already have a Payoneer Account” link.

PayPal

PayPal is a secure way to send money online. You'll need to set up an account in order to get paid via PayPal.

Details:

• Accept payments on any device and in any country
• Receive funds within 2 days
• Transfer easily to any bank account in a few days
• Receive a maximum of $5,000 USD per month in revenue payments
• PayPal fees may apply

Be sure to use the correct email address associated with your PayPal account as we cannot accept refunds. A list of countries and regions supported by Paypal is available here.

Prepaid debit MasterCard® (powered by Payoneer)

The prepaid debit MasterCard® will be mailed to you and credited with your payments from Dailymotion. After receiving the card, you will be able to use it just like a regular debit card.

Details:

• Withdraw funds in your local currency
• Make purchases wherever MasterCard® is accepted
• Access to cash within 2 hours of receiving a payment
• Latest Chip and PIN technology for enhanced security
• Available for individuals only (not for businesses)
• ATM fees may apply

Review balance and payout history

On your earnings overview page, you can view your:

• Current balance (estimated)
• Last payout
• Payout history
• Payout invoices (PDF)

Payout Timing and Currency

• Revenue is always calculated in USD
• Invoices will appear in either USD or EUR
• You will only be paid at the end of a month if your revenue balance exceeds $100 (USD)
• Payouts typically take less than 30 days to process
• If your revenue balance exceeds $10,000 (USD), payouts can take up to 45 days to process

You can click statement numbers to view monthly invoices as PDFs.
